Nesting and breeding

A pair of kerer? produces one, two or, exceptionally, three chicks during a breeding season. Kerer? nests, usually well hidden in the thick leaves and twigs of tall trees, are a platform of twigs. Both parents share incubation duties until the egg hatches after about a month. The chick is ready to leave the nest at 30-45 days of age and continues to be fed by its parents for at least two weeks after leaving the nest.
